I have a drawing of a tiny man.

He has been following me, since my oldest son was around 3 years old. The tiny man looks at me with his odd eyes and his happy smile, and tells me that it is alright to be different.

That is the way, I also want my knitting design to be: simple as in the tiny man’s drawing, but anyway, something with at twist away from the usual thoughts about knit wear.

I work with developing a style, that imply the simple cut, and contain few and exciting details. The details are to surprise, and give the design a very special expression. I like the names of the designs to be with a twist too.

Often, the wish for minimal finish is pressing me, as I have to think creative to get the desired expression.

When your knitting project is finished, I prefer, that only a little bit of finishing is left.

Ideas can occur anywhere, and my sketching pad is indispensable for me. On this pad I can quickly draw a detail or an expression, that later can be used in one or more designs. I also work a lot with knitting samples and often experience, that the idea develops, while I knit.

New models are on their way, and I hope that you also feel like being a bit as my mascot: different and with a smile on your face.

With kind regards,

Bente Geil
